As a couple decides to pursue marriage, they agree to sign a marriage contract that is considered to be a sacred covenant that solemnizes the spiritual and physical connection between man and woman.
The following are the guidelines regarding the marriage process and the documents needed:
- A copy of a valid ID is needed.
- A copy of previous marriage or divorce documents must be attached when applicable.
- Consent of the father is required if the bride is getting married for the first time, either through his presence or by presenting an official consent from him.
- The applicant must not be in a current marital relationship.
- There is a fee for officiating the marriage contract and issuing the religious marriage certificate.
- Information given will not be divulged/disclosed to anyone without the consent of both parties.
